My first show of the summer season was Mumford & Sons. They were amazing. Their tour is like a traveling music festival. My friend and I drove an hour up to the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernandino. So many people were there already. You could see around the park there were signs renaming the place after Mumford for the weekend. It was so cool. I stole this picture from some website since we didn't manage to get our own photo.
We got inside the venue and it was huge! This was my first time at an outdoor amphitheater. We had GA tickets so we decided to sit on the grass in the middle. We honestly weren't worried about being super close.
There were three opening bands, so we just chilled out on the grass and got some shaved ice and mexican food from the dozens of food trucks around the amphitheater. This is what I mean about their show being like a traveling music festival. There were maybe 30,000 people there and food trucks and booths everywhere. And this was all for one band.

Once it started to get dark around 8pm, Mumford & Sons came out and gave an incredible show. They sang practically every song from their album, Babel, and they sang about half from Sigh No More. We had an incredible time, even all the way in the back. They are so great that it honestly doesn't matter where you were sitting. I have to say my favorite part was when they sang "The Cave" because everyone knew the words and were singing along.
The stage. I tried to upload a video but couldn't. |
I would definitely recommend going to a Mumford & Sons show if you ever get the chance. Their music gets you up and jumping and they sound great live. Their whole concert is an experience in itself. I have to say I'll never forget it. Summer Stampede was awesome. #godsavethequeen
